Issues that we faced
As a group we did work really well together and we decided between us what we were going to do and who was going to do certain jobs. We decided that Tahlia would be the main actress because of her drama studies, Eleanor would be the other actress because she wanted to have ago at being on the opposite side of the camera to last time when we did our preliminary task, Grace took editing because our filming location was far away from where she lived and she is also the most talented in our group at editing as she seems to understand it more and me, I took the role of filming which I did share with Eleanor because I had issues with attendance and illness. We did start filming later than we had planned but this was just because we struggled to find a time when we were all free.
The first day of filming it was just me and Tahlia and we decided to try and face storm Doris and it was a challenge but we did get a lot of it done even if it was freezing cold! The wind and rain was in our face so we couldn't 100% be sure on whether we had got the perfect shots, so we just decided to see how they turned out the next day when we looked at school.
The program we used 'Premier Pro', did have a habit of crashing at really inconvenient moments so on some occasions we would edit and it would crash so then we lost all our work we had done in that lesson, but we soon got into the habit of saving the work every 10 minutes or so meaning the chances of losing work were then very slim.
The next day we looked at the clips and found some needed re-filming.
We tried again with filming and this time we had Eleanor as well so we could get more done as I could film the beginning and end so at least they were sorted, and we just had to focus on the middle. We did a few takes of each shot using different camera angles, camera shots or different rules of the camera so that we could see which was the best.
We spent the time during lessons, free periods and dinners to edit the clips we had but we didn't want to fully edit until we had it all filmed so that we didn't have the problem of doing everything and then just having to just to re-do it over and over.
The editing confused me at first but after watching the others on it and seeing what they did I picked a few things up which allowed me to edit little bits by myself when I had the chance.
Overall, we didn't face any major issues and we all worked really well as a group to help each other and work through the small issues that we did face! i'm really proud of our end result and i think that it does really show how hard we worked together.
