Nerve textual analysis (Art Of The Title)

Hello Everyone welcome back!

I was asked to use art of the title to explore a title sequence and see what was good about it and how different things used had different effects on the audience's.  I decided to look at the title sequence for 'Nerve' which shows many different social media platforms.

This shows a Microsoft Word effect which creates a certain sense of familiarity to the audience and makes it relatable from the very beginning. By doing this it could catch their attention as it infers it may be based in recent day so they can relate.

This shows many different adverts flashing up on the screen uncontrollably, showing that a virus or something may be involved in this film and maybe someone loses control of their social media, promoting a worry for the audience as the media and especially social media plays a huge part in the everyday lives of a large majority of the population.

This looks like the cut out of a news paper article showing that it isn't just online forms of media, it's real world as well. Also it looks like snap chat is used to draw on the dog, this may give a link to the target audience showing them it's aimed for them.

This looks like Sound cloud, which may mean it is relating to the younger generation and it is also a bit of a inside joke between the directors and the audience.

With this one I am not 100% sure what social media is meant to be but I can infer that maybe not a lot of people will know so it adds the link of mystery and anxiousness to keep the audience hooked on the story so they aren't bored in the start.
