Warner Bro's Productions has made its name for being arguably one of the biggest production company's in the world ,it has produced some of the most famous films such as the Harry Potter series and the Scooby Doo films, it has also made millions through doing this increasing its popularity and it financial expenditure. The first Warner Bros Studio was opened in 1918 on the Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood and the business has grown ever since. Warner Bros did however declare their founding date as 1905. Regional Identity

Hello Everyone! In lesson today we focused on Regional Identity and what it was all about! Some thoughts on Regional Identity are that... It involves stereotyping in places of 'real' experience. Although, people (on the receiving end) are generally more compatible with regional stereotypes than racial stereotypes- however they can still cause offence.   Some regions/areas arguably are more affected by negative stereotypes. Our own Identity tends to be more noticeable when a person is out of their comfort zone, For example going to live abroad in a completely different country, people are more likely to point out differences about you.   Exam Tip! This may affect people more if they are parents of younger children as obviously they are more vulnerable but it could also affect teens as they would feel uneasy about being on their own .

Audience Task 1

Hello Everybody! We have been given a task and we had to complete two relating to the audience we are aiming for with our thriller opening. The first task I chose was 'How our thriller will apply to audience categorisation theories (use Bulmer  & Katz 'Uses and Gratification and various others) '. Our Thriller film begins with a family arguing, this would relate to the Bulmer & Katz theory because it means the viewer can have a personal relationship with the opening, this means that maybe young people more teens other than anyone else would be able to relate to it as that may happen in their life. Furthermore, It could be seen as a technique of 'Diversion'. For example if someone was struggling in their own life they may turn to the media to help themselves cope and see that other people are also struggling so it isn't just them. Some people may also use our type of thriller for the Entertainment purpose! Thrillers are a popular genre of film and ...
